the Long Center Roller Disco. Monday, June 29th. Long Center Terrace. The vibes are always incredible. So many familiar faces, people hugging, sharing tips and tricks, enjoying the sunset, and taking in that beautiful Austin skyline. It’s such a perfect combination.
Then you add in the old school music, and the energy just keeps building all night long. By the end of the evening I’m closing things out with classic 90s hip hop, everyone is dancing, and there’s always that perfect breeze coming across the terrace. Absolutely amazing as always.
This will be the final party of the month. This special edition of the Underground Roller Disco will feature nothing but amazing house music with myself and local legend Chris Nelson in the DJ booth.
All ages and all wheels are welcome. Bring your skates, bikes, scooters, lawn chairs, blankets, or just come hang out on the grass, watch the sunset, throw a frisbee, and enjoy the community. There’s something for everyone.
World Cup Watch Party, June 30, 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. French Legation State Historic Site (802 San Marcos Street ). The French Legation State Historic Site invites the public to gather on its historic grounds for a series of free FIFA World Cup 2026 Playoff Watch Parties, bringing the excitement of the global tournament to the heart of Austin.
Beginning June 30, the French Legation will host select evening playoff matches on a 30’ outdoor inflatable screen, creating a shared viewing experience that celebrates international culture and community connection in a unique historic setting.
Set beneath open skies and shaded by mature trees, these special evenings combine the energy of the World Cup with the relaxed charm of one of Austin’s most scenic historic spaces. Guests can spread out on the lawn, feel the breeze from the site’s large outdoor drum fans, and enjoy the matches together in a welcoming, community-centered setting. Refreshments available for purchase in the Visitor Center include snacks and drinks.

Summer Storytime 2026, June 30, 2026 10:45 am – 11:15 am, Blanton Museum of Art (200 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd). The Blanton Museum’s most popular summer program returns in 2026 with weekly Storytime sessions. Held every Tuesday from June 2 through August 11, the program features picture book readings paired with guided looking at artworks from the museum’s collection. Designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and close observation, the program is best suited for children ages 4–8 but welcomes all ages.
Summer Storytime is free with museum admission and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The museum provides free admission every Tuesday through the Moody Family Free Day Endowment. Availability may be limited depending on attendance.
Summer Storytime is scheduled on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. from June 2 through August 11. Each session offers the same program experience. Additional Storytime sessions are also available during Blanton All Day, the museum’s monthly all-day art event.
