The tv shows about hauntings and ghosts are wrong. Most unexplainable occurrences are positive.
Often when we experience something ghost-related it is at the time of someone’s death.
Common haunting activity:
#1: Plumbing and electricity, and batteries. Cell phone and camera batteries will be drained. Lights turning on and off. Water faucets will turn on and off.
#2: A Phantom Aroma – this can happen indoors or outdoors. It’s a smell. It begins and it ends and it gets your attention. There was a woman who had a grandfather who was in hospice. She received a call from her sister telling to come quickly and his time was near. She got in her car and began the 2-hour drive. Suddenly there was a strong smell of pipe smoke. She did not smoke, no one else was in the car she noted the time on the car clock was 10:00 PM. When she arrived at hospice her grandfather had passed away at 10:00 PM. He often smoked a pipe.
#3: The third most common form of a haunting is merely a feeling. It’s when you sense you’re being watched. The hair on the back of your neck or your arms stand up, or you get goosebumps. . The feeling you are not alone accompanied with the urge to look over your shoulder. A sudden drop or rise in temperature is also common.
Actually seeing an apparition is uncommon.
Any object that disappears and then reappears in an obvious way that makes no sense is often associated with haunting activity or a ghost. It is one of the most common forms of spirit activity.
At almost every haunted location there is the story of objects being moved. For instance, what happened in one house where someone had taken their ring off and placed it on the bedside table. The next day when they looked for the ring, it was gone. Looking everywhere, under the bed, on the bed, over the bed, around the bed, it was nowhere to be found. A year later, it happened to appear next to the bed. Near the table where it was laying on the floor. Throughout the year, that area had been vacuumed many, many times. And there was no ring. It just appeared.
When spiritual spiritualism and mediumship first came in to fashion mediums would profess the ability to move objects on tables or to bring objects from one place to another, basically teleporting.
Otherwise known as to asport. It is when an object is made to disappear and transported through matter to another location. During the height of physical mediumship in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, objects would vanish from the seance room and be found in other rooms.
Several explanations have been advanced for asports. Some say they are brought from other dimensions by spirits that are drawn from other dimensions by willpower and the magnetic pull of the medium themselves. Some say they’re disintegrated by the medium and transported and reintegrated as the object.
Most of this phenomenon has been associated with trickery.
