We will be sitting for part of this event. If you are not comfortable sitting on the ground bring a towel or chair. Attendees must be able to walk on rocky trails. The group will walk to the sacred, over 600-year-old oak tree where the magic of the earth and sky have communicated for all of time. This is a Full Moon Shamanic Ritual Series including journaling, healing and meditation bring a journal and pen.
The moon signifies wisdom, intuition, birth, death, reincarnation, and a spiritual connection. Moon cycles are similar to the cycle of a seed: the seed grows into a flower, then blooms, and then dies. This is a workshop into self-reflection and growth using the energy of the Moon when it is full potent and powerful.
The moon has been associated with death and rebirth for all of time. It waxes and wanes every 28 days it dies only to be reborn. Each Full Moon that occurs in this series of workshops will have its own unique planetary transits and aspects, which will always influence the energy on Earth.
July 3, 2023 FULL SUPER MOON
The July 3rd full super moon is the first of 4 super moons in 2023. Known as the Buck or Thunder moon to the indigenous Americans as it was the time when young bucks would begin to grow new horns. The ancient Celtic people called it the Claiming Moon and believed the day was a time of reflection and ritual to bring more positivity into your life.
This moon in 2023 will be in Capricorn which is a time to reflect on your career, or life path and money, or whatever represents abundance to you. Using this powerful full moon energy we will set intentions, journal, communicate and practice ancient rituals to achieve your personal goals.
August 1, 2023 FULL SUPER MOON
This evening in August when the moon is opposite the Earth from the Sun and fully illuminated, was called the Sturgeon Moon by the Indigenous people of America. They named moons to track time and honor the ecosystem around them. The Sturgeon is a freshwater fish located in many of the lakes and rivers in North America and was the summer destination of the many nomadic tribes. The Ancient Celts called the Moon the Grain Moon because August was harvest time in that area of the world.
This Moon will be in Aquarius in 2023. We will use this time to welcome change and progress and use the Moon energy to assist us in detaching and letting go.
August 31, 2023 FULL SUPER BLUE MOON
This is the 2nd full moon in one month and such an occurrence happens about once every 3 years. It is believed that the Blue Moon brings a time of heightened communication and connection with the Divine and the spirit world.
Also, on this Blue Moon the energy will be extra potent. It is in Pisces so bring your intentions toward the achievement of goals that you have always believed to be unobtainable or just out of your reach. If there is something you have been having a particularly difficult time releasing, this moon will provide extra energy to help letting go. Pisces energy is nostalgic, and also very intuitive.This will be a great time for tapping into your own intuition and receiving guidance.
September 29, 2023 FULL SUPER MOON
The Corn Moon to the indigenous people in remembrance at the time of harvest and the Harvest Moon to the ancient Celts for the same reason. In 2023 this full Moon is in fiery Aries and signifies the beginning of Autumn. It is the Full Moon closest to the Spring Equinox.
Aries is full of tenacity and charges forward towards its goals. On this Harvest moon we will take stock and acknowledge your growth and gratitude until the new birth again at the solstice in spring and Full Moon in the Spring.
October 28, 2023 FULL MOON
Samhain (Halloween) is the modern Irish (Gaeilge) name for the beginning of the New Year when the summer ends and the dark months of winter begin. This time marked the time of the return to darkness, when the forces of life absorbed into the Earth and into the Otherworld. Samhain began with the Druids, the priests and priestesses of Ancient Ireland. We will practice the ritual of lighting the sacred Samhain fire which is a 3500 years old tradition. At this time the veil between the worlds thinned. Spirit communication is strong as are omens that predict the future.
This Full Moon is in Taurus a very grounded earth energy – connecting with our actual inner desires and needs, outside of all the noise of what the world and society around us like to say we should want or need. Let’s use this session to communicate with our spirit team and ancestors to receive guidance and clarity for our path.
