Leap Castle in Ireland is considered quite haunted. It is one of the longest continually inhabited castle in the country. Legend has it the name “Leap Castle” came from two brothers who were competing to be the clan leader. So, to determine who was the bravest and strongest they would each leap from the rocky area where the castle would later be built. Whoever survived ruled the clan. Really? Really? That strategy was how the clan chose a leader? And so bloody conflicts ensued through the entire history of the castle. This is one of the primary reasons it is considered ONE of the most haunted castles in Ireland. Click here and you will see a list of the numerous ghosts, and their names, who haunt the area.
